A delegation of FCCIB Members visited Alba Line 6 Expansion Project
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), soon to be the world’s largest aluminium smelter, received a delegation from the French Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain (FCCIB), headed by the French Ambassador to Bahrain, Her Excellency Mrs. Cécile Longé, on Tuesday 19 March 2019 at Alba.
Comprising around 30 representatives and members of FCCIB, accompanied by Mrs Rim Jalali, the Executive Director of the Chamber, the delegation was received by Alba’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali, Chief Power Officer Amin Sultan, Chief Admin Officer Waleed Tamimi, acting Chief Financial Officer Bryan Harris, Director Casthouse A. Rasool Ahmed and a number of senior officials at Alba.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed about Alba’s accomplishments over the last 4 decades, the Company’s Safety and Environmental initiatives that comply with the world’s best practices as well as the progress of Line 6 Expansion Project which will make Alba the world’s largest smelter upon full ramp-up.
The delegation was convoyed in a tour around Alba site and Line 6 Expansion Project.
