Bahrain’s 'integrated approach led to slowing spread of Covid-19'
Bahrain’s integrated approach in responding to the Covid-19 outbreak contributed to slowing the spread of the pandemic, Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh said yesterday.
She was speaking at the 73rd session of the World Health Organisation held via video-conference. Ms Saleh underlined the Crown Prince’s efforts, pointing out the establishment of the National Taskforce for Combating Covid-19 to manage precautionary measures and implement world-class tracing procedures.
She highlighted that Bahrain was the first Arab country to join the “solidarity test” of the first vaccine. The kingdom has also started clinical treatment experiments using plasma collected from recovered patients.
