Brunei accords ‘to bring business opportunities’
The agreements signed during the official meeting between His Majesty King Hamad and Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei will bring new opportunities and investments to benefit and further unify both countries, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, said yesterday.
HRH Prince Salman said the visit reflects the long-standing ties between the two countries as he met the Brunei Sultan. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister welcomed him to the kingdom.
He highlighted that the official meeting helped strengthen Bahraini-Brune relations and enhance co-operation.
Other strategies to enhance bilateral co-operation and issues of common interest were also discussed during the meeting.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister held a dinner banquet in honour of the Sultan of Brunei and the accompanying delegation.
Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah expressed his gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to developing relations and wished the kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa were also in attendance.
